  • we receive a notification from a client that you are authorized to bid on their behalf or to collect one of their lots,
  • we collaborate with third-party online auction marketplaces that enable you to place bids directly on our lots through their platforms. If you participate in one of our auctions through such a platform, please note that they may share your data with us, and we will use this data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. In any case, if you use third-party websites, you are required to read their privacy policies.

Performance of a Contract: Processing of your Personal Data is necessary for the performance of a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Legitimate Interest: Processing of your Personal Data is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us or a third party. Our "legitimate interests" include the commercial interests we have in operating our business in compliance with applicable legal obligations.

  • to third-party online auction marketplaces and/or databases that publish the auction lots and/or the results of their auctioning. For example, when an auction of ours is listed on a third-party marketplace with the ability to bid directly through it, we share data related to the lots with the marketplace,   
  • to individuals acting on your behalf,
  • to external auditors and professional advisors,
  • to third parties we collaborate with to provide you services (e.g., transporters, storage providers, data hosting providers, call centers, email management services, data analysis providers, and other service providers necessary for the operation of our website, phone lines, and online bidding services). These service providers are obligated to maintain confidentiality, may only use the data necessary to provide services to us, and are bound to use this data solely according to our instructions,
  • to the general public, as we publish the auction catalogue on our website with details of the lots included and sold in the auction, including provenance information, sale prices, and descriptions of the lots,
  • to the Central Register of Beneficial Owners to search for details of the beneficial owners of legal entities and organizations,
  • to judicial and regulatory authorities.


On certain websites, we may have embedded social media plug-ins. This means that when you click on one of the plug-in buttons, your browser establishes a direct connection with the social media server. The content of the plug-ins is transmitted directly from the social media platform to your browser, which integrates it into our website. By integrating these plug-ins, the social media platform receives information that your browser has visited our website. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to the server of the social media platform, where it is stored. Despite our efforts, we would like you to be aware that using the internet to transmit information carries inherent data security risks, and therefore we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

When you create an account with us or register via our website to participate in an auction, you will be asked to set a password for your personal account. In this case, you should choose your password carefully and ensure that you keep your login details confidential. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage you may suffer due to your negligence or misuse of your account login details.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We will retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary for us to provide our Services, comply with tax and legal obligations, and defend against potential legal claims.

Specifically, we retain the archive of recorded telephone conversations for a period of up to one (1) year from the date of recording, unless an extension of this period is required to support legal claims or to comply with legal obligations.

As part of our research and record-keeping regarding the ownership of art objects aimed at enhancing the verification of authenticity, provenance, and title, we will retain this data for as long as the record remains relevant to our legitimate business interests and the public interest.

 SHARING DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

Subject to the requirements of the law, we will not transfer your personal data to third parties located in countries outside the EU that do not meet the required security measures without first obtaining your consent.
